Yo soy... Flamenco

Francisca Sardonil Ruiz, better known as « La Tati », is the last living legend of Flamenco. To the point that, in 2009, UNESCO named her “Heritage of Spain” one year before attributing the title to the flamenco dance itself! Dancing since the age of 6, along her career she has shared the stage with artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Paco de Lucia, Carmen Maura and Joaquim Cortés.  Nowadays she is still the tireless and admired teacher for hundreds of flamenco dancers, coming every year to Madrid from all over the world to attend her course at the “Amor the Dios” school. For the first time, the camera follows La Tati inside and outside the school, trying to portray the unicity of the extraordinary woman and to capture the real essence of flamenco and its values. Because La Tati is not only a dancer who inspired entire generations…she is the soul of Flamenco itself!
